What Are ClearCorrect & SureSmile?
ClearCorrect and SureSmile are clear aligner products, similar to those offered by Invisalign. Instead of using metal wires, brackets and rubber elastics to move your teeth, these products use custom-built trays known as “aligners.”
These aligners are intended to gently move your teeth toward a healthier alignment. Each set is usually worn for two weeks for 20-22+ hours per day. As you switch through multiple sets of aligners, your smile will gradually straighten. The end result is a more even, pleasing appearance, a healthier bite, and a smile you can feel confident about!
How Does Treatment Work With ClearCorrect & SureSmile?
First, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ehsan Saleki. He will examine your mouth, and determine if you’re a good candidate for treatment. If you are, he will take impressions and images of your teeth, and work with ClearCorrect or SureSmile to develop your treatment plan.
In a few weeks, your first several sets of aligners will arrive at our office. You’ll pick them up, and get instructions on how to wear them properly. Typically, each set will be worn for 20-22+ hours per day for two weeks.
You’ll come into Oak Creek Dental Care about every 4-6 weeks to get a quick checkup, and Dr. Saleki will also give you your next several sets of aligners. This process will continue until your treatment is complete, which usually takes about a year.
The Benefits Of Treatment With Clear Aligners
Clear aligners have a few great benefits compared to braces. First, they are invisible when worn and won’t affect your smile or speech. You can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing about it.
In addition, you can remove your aligners to eat and drink, and to brush and floss. This eliminates the dietary restrictions that are present with braces, and also makes it easier for you to maintain proper dental hygiene and keep your teeth healthy.
Finally, clear aligners are more comfortable than braces. They don’t have any metal components to poke or irritate your oral tissue, and they usually exert more gentle pressure when correcting teeth, which minimizes discomfort while correcting your teeth.
Additional SureSmile Treatment Options
SureSmile doesn’t just offer clear plastic aligners. Depending on your case, you may be a good candidate for a wide variety of SureSmile products.
SureSmile also offers traditional braces, as well as ceramic (tooth-colored) braces, and lingual braces that are attached to the rear of your teeth for a more subtle appearance.
At your appointment with Dr. Saleki in Oak Creek, WI, he can discuss all of your options for treatment, and help you choose the treatment from SureSmile that’s right for you.
